DeVon Tomlinson
DeVon Tomlinson was born in Montego Bay, Jamaica, and raised in Toronto, Canada. With a deep passion for faith, financial empowerment, and community development, he has dedicated his life to helping individuals and families achieve both spiritual and financial well-being.
After spending twenty years working in the banking industry with one of Canada’s “Big Five” banks, DeVon, alongside his wife Janice, founded Hope Christian Ministries, a thriving church in the heart of Brampton, Ontario. For over two decades, they have led with vision and purpose, guiding their congregation toward spiritual growth, financial wisdom, and community impact.
Recognizing the widespread need for financial literacy within faith-based communities and beyond, DeVon has committed himself to equipping individuals with the knowledge and tools needed to achieve financial stability. Throughout the year, he leads empowerment series on money management, investing, saving, and financial stewardship. He has also organized and hosted financial seminars featuring expert speakers from various sectors of the financial industry.
As a certified Financial Coach and founder of DeVon Financial Coaching, he draws on his two decades of banking experience to help individuals, families, and faith-based organizations take control of their finances and build lasting wealth.
